Decisions, Decisions
Now that the semester is back up and running for the first full week, I can’t help but feel intimidated by everything I have to decide.
I need to decide if I want to relate more towards biomimetic side for these pieces, or abstract my project and create a series of different arrangements and patterns.

Faculty Review
I certainly have heard mixed review results from other students in IP, but I have to say that overall my review experience was very positive and helpful to get new perspective on my project and get a chance to discuss some of the different ideas that I’ve been working with this past semester.

Feedback
So I suppose a great deal of this process is getting all forms of feedback. One of my more frustrating moments in class was during an progress check in during a class session where I was trying to explain what I had recently made with doming the copper cut-outs. Of course my object was in my studio and not the classroom and studdenly I found myself stumbling over trying to explain how working...

Initial Proposal
Here is a general idea of what I hope to accomplish this year:
I find myself fascinated by patterns, geometries, and three-dimensional structures – especially those found in nature. There are some very fascinating forms pre-coded into nature that appear in the growth patterns and the molecular structures of everyday things we might tend to overlook. I would like to create a series of jewelry...
